Ramseyer Farms 2022
The Youth Group will be spending Sunday afternoon on October 9th at Ramseyer Farms. There are a variety of games and puzzles for you to do and you can check out the Ramseyer Farms website for a complete list. Mark will leave from the Danville church immediately following Sunday service and Sonn and Taylor will leave from the Butler church at noon. Lunch will be provided at both churches and we will all meet together at Ramseyer Farms between 1pm and 1:30pm. We will stay at Ramseyer Farms until closing at 6pm. Please bring some money for snacks at Ramseyer Farms. This is a district youth event and the district is covering the cost of admission! That’s right, you can get in FREE! Please let Mark Hupp or Taylor Peterson know if you are going so they can get tickets in advance. There are also some forms to fill out since this is a district youth event (see below). Please download the forms, fill them out, and bring them with you on Sunday.
The youth group is open to all youth in grades 6-12. They meet in Butler on the 1st and 3rd Sundays and in Danville on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 5:00 p.m. On fifth Sundays, the youth spend time with their families.
They are very active and study the Bible. Each year they take a mission trip, sometimes to a local community, sometimes to a larger city. In Butler, every third Sunday of the month, there is a youth bake sale to raise money to help defray the costs of the mission trips.
Some additional activities include helping cut wood to provide heat for those in need, working around local schools to help with beautification, helping families move, and ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, etc . On occasion, they combine with other area churches to have fun and worship God together in activities such as dodge ball, volleyball, kick ball, etc.
Once a month the youth collect change for the Heifer project. See the missions page for more information on this.
Each summer, we host a vacation Bible school for youth. Many kids and adults get involved in a variety of ways. The location alternates between the Danville and Butler sites.
